We regularly clean museum-quality antiques and understand how aged fabrics behave. We assess condition first, test solutions in hidden areas, and use low-moisture methods that protect weakened fibers, unstable dyes, and period construction details.
We work with all upholstery fabrics: cotton, linen, wool, silk, velvet, mohair, microfiber, leather, suede, and synthetic blends. Each receives treatment appropriate to its fiber content and finish, from low-moisture methods for delicate silks to deeper extraction for durable synthetics.
We address odors at the source using fabric-safe enzyme treatments for pet smells, deodorizers for smoke, or antimicrobial solutions for mildew—depending on fabric tolerance. Some odors require multiple treatments, particularly if they’ve penetrated cushion foam beneath the fabric.
To keep furnishings looking new at all times, we recommend a deep cleaning frequency of once or twice a year, spot cleaning if there’s a new stain, and a post-cleaning Fiber-Shield treatment that helps repel stains from setting in.
