immigrated to America from Armenia in 1916. Their vocation repairing Persian
Carpets led them to develop a wool yarn of quality, durability and luxurious
color. The result of their effort was Paternayan 00% virgin wool which soon
became a standard for all rug repairers and needle artists world wide. We
are proud to say that we were one for their first customers.
Paternayan Persian yarns
exhibit great strength and resilience which prevents the yarn from breaking
and fraying during repair. Due to the unusual whiteness of their special
breed of lamb's wool and the old spinning techniques and polishing of the
fibers the yarn exhibits a luster that approaches a glow.
